Does a PS2 to PS3 Adapter Work With an Xbox360

If you want to use your PS2 controller with your PS3 gaming system, you can do so because both systems are manufactured by Sony and they're designed to be compatible. Unfortunately, a PS2 to PS3 adapter won’t work with an Xbox 360, which uses an IBM PowerPC processor and an incompatible wireless controller. The PS2-to-PS3 adapter is specifically designed for PS3 gaming consoles.

 Function

A PS2-to-PS3 controller adapter is an accessory that allows you to use a PS2 controller on a PS3 gaming system. These adapters work with a variety of PS2 controllers including Dualshock 2, wireless controllers and guitars for "Guitar Hero." The adapter has two ports. The USB port connects to one of the four USB ports on the gaming console, and the other port connects to the PS2 controller.

 Compatibility

The PS2-to-PS3 adapter is not compatible with Xbox 360 systems because the consoles are built around two entirely different specifications. In addition, an Xbox 360 cannot read PS3 gaming discs because they're not compatible. PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers are incompatible as well and use two separate connectors.

 Tip
Several third-party vendors sell PS2-to-PS3 adapters. Some of these products may or may not be compatible with the games on which you’d like to use them. For example, an adapter might not be compatible with all versions of "Guitar Hero." Before purchasing an adapter, refer to the product specifications for compatibility information.

 Recommendations

Although a PS2-to-PS3 adapter won’t work on an Xbox 360 gaming system, most game titles can be purchased for both the PS3 and Xbox 360. You'll need to buy additional discs to play your PS games on the Xbox 360 console.

Best Xbox Kinect Games

Which Kinect games should you buy? In this article you'll find the ones that are really worthy of your time!
With Kinect (the new Xbox 360 accessory from Microsoft) you will be able to play games without any controller, just by moving your body and hands. Amazing isn't it? Unfortunately, the new device has been labeled as "very casual" or "without any interesting games". Is it true? Let's find out which are the best Xbox Kinect games!

5. Kinect Sports

Source: http://marketplace.xbox.com
Like it or not, every "Motion device" must have a sports game. Nintendo did it, Sony did it, and now Microsoft is trying to lure casual gamers with this game featuring many popular disciplines. Some of the best ones are: -Football (soccer): in this game you control a football player around a huge field. The objective is to score as many goals as possible by shooting the ball with your leg. The movement is automatic (you don't have to do any running) so you must only move your leg when you want to shoot. There is also the possibility of being a goalkeeper, in this case you must catch the ball (by doing the correct movement).

-Bowling: in this one you must make the "throwing the ball" motion and the game will do the rest. Looks interesting, although a little inaccurate at times!
Kinect Sports will also feature a volleyball, track and field, javelin throw and table tennis, and it's a good reason to purchase a Xbox Kinect device.

4. Kinect Adventures

This is a compilation of several Indiana Jones-esque on-rails games. In the ride you must duck to avoid obstacles, jump when needed
kinect-adventures-xbox360-43113
and try to grab targets when they get close at you (moving your body and your arms, of course!) Anothyer cool feature in this game is that a floating camera will appear halfway through the level. At that point you are supossed to strike a crazy pose; at the end level you'll be able to see the weird photo and laugh a it! (at least that's the purpose of it)

3. Dance Central

Dance Central may look like another boring casual game, but this game could actually be the key to Kinect's success. It does exactly what you are thinking, monitor your dance moves and tell you if you are doing it right.

There is a fun competitive multiplayer and many different songs, so (if done right) this could be THE party game and Kinect's main selling point, and definitely among the best Xbox Kinect games.

2. Child of Eden

Child of Eden is a game with a lot of potential. The premise is simple: a huge archive with the knowledge of all humanity has been
child-of-eden-xbox360-40315
infected with a strange virus and is at risk of being completely erased. Your objective is to fight huge hordes of amorphous enemies by shooting and killing them. The amazing thing here is that you must shoot at the enemies by using only your hands (Minority Report style), like that "pew-pew" game we all played when we were kids.
It looks really fun and inmersive, so be sure to keep an eye on this game!

1. Star Wars Kinect

A Star Wars game with a motion-controlled lightsaber? Indeed!

The dream of millions of Star Wars fans may soon come true if this game lives up to its potential. With all the power in your hands (literally), you'll be able to fight epic battles against other Jedis and use all your Force-powered abilities to win.
The graphics seem top-notch too, so Star Wars is looking like Kinect's main "hardcore game" and worthy of the first spot in this "top 5 best Xbox Kinect games" article.
