No Storage Devices Found on your Xbox 360 S

If you are using an Xbox 360 S that comes with a hard drive, use the following steps to ensure the hard drive is properly connected.

1. Turn off the console.
2. Locate and open the Hard Drive cover.
   1. Position the console horizontally looking at the front.
   2. On the right side of the console, locate the hard drive cover release which is close to the back of the console.
   3. Slide the release toward the front of the console, while pulling open the hard drive cover.
      
      
      
      
      
3. Remove the Hard Drive.
   1. Pull the hard drive tab firmly until the hard drive comes out.
      
      
      
      
      
4. Reconnect the Hard Drive.
   1. Insert the hard drive firmly fully until it clicks.
      
      
      
      
      
   2. Put the hard drive cover back on.
5. Power on your console and see if the hard drive is now available.
